Re: Payroll Shortages Pay Period 19 |
Dear Sir and Madame:
In regards to the above reference, please note the several enclosures. Employees have been shorted meal payments for away from home meals, overtime payments (S. Markwardt and J. Platt), wrong rates of pay, etc.
The new system has evidently been programmed with the wrong mileage rates, particularly on the former SP&S property. Further, there is evidently a failure to report proper share counts and hence a question of proper productivity fund payments.
The undersigned, by letter requested information and results of parallel runs of the new system as compared to the previous system. Had that consideration been allowed many, if not all, of these problems would have been corrected before the fact.
As it stands now, I must assume shortages and incorrect accountings, number in the hundreds if not thousands. I fully expect these errors to be corrected without requirement of appeals and in a fashion that itemizes each item shorted and date corrected or each payment dropped and corrected, nothing less will suffice.
The new system is all that I feared. Its yours, fix it and fix it now, otherwise I will consider the old adage, "no pay, no work.".
Sincerely,
J.D.Fitzgerald
