Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad and Montana Western Railroad

Dear Sir:

There exists a dispute between this Committee and Burlington Northern Santa Fe concerning inadequate staffing of extra boards. Such inadequate staffing has reached a point where existing pool crews are not filled, thus leading Carrier to reduce vacant turns from the respective pools in abrogation to existing agreements and practices.

In view of the above and due to Carrier's intransigence in addressing the issue and complying with agreement requirements, the undersigned requests a meeting under provisions of Section 2, Sixth paragraph of the Railway Labor Act, as amended.

Please specify a time, date and location for such meeting under conditions expressed in the above referenced section and paragraph.
