Re Extra Board Regulation Aberbeen, SD

 Dear Sir and Madam:

In regards to the above reference, Burlington Northern Santa Fe’s Management seems to continue on a course that fails to recognize or adhere to schedule rules, agreements and their applications.

During the second half of March 2000, mileage attributable to the Extra Board at Aberdeen, SD West equaled 7040 miles. That board consisted of two (2) conductors during that time (that is sufficient mileage for three (3) conductors).

During the first four (4) days of April, 2000, the mileage attributable to that Extra Board was 1760 miles. On April 4, 2000, Ms. Michaels reduced that Extra Board to one (1) conductor. The mileage up to the April 4, would compute to approximately 7000 miles for the pay period if it stayed consistent.

Once again I demand calculations and figures that Ms. Michaels utilized to make that reduction as provided in the May 20, 1993 Crew Consist Agreement.

During that same period, Ms. Michaels totally eliminated the Brakeman’s Extra List at Sioux City and Aberdeen, SD, East. The Sioux City Board was reduced from twelve (12) to zero (0) . The Aberdeen Board was reduced from two (2) to zero (0).

Again, I demand the calculations and figures utilized to make those reductions in violation of negotiated agreements.

Failing to receive those calculations and figures I must believe Carrier does not have them and is in flagrant violation of negotiated agreements.

Sincerely,

JD Fitzgerald
General Chairman
